In the selection of a Female Miniature Cattle there are many attributes to consider because the fact is that the Cow is a calving animal that can be a source to a whole line of cows if you decide to build a good looking herd. Of course she contributes 1/2 the genetics of the off spring and should be judged on her potential longevity, milk carrying capacity, genetically based attitude, physical conformation. So, start or add the best possible cow or heifer you can. But even with a less than perfect female you can improve her "line" of offspring by the semen you breed her with, you can get and you will see your desires met for a stand of Miniature Cattle revolve around the sire you choose to artificially inseminate (AI) or provide live cover.
Our Spring 2007 is over and evaluations are in process. One fact remains, our drought conditions will require us to reduce our stock in both horses, goats and cattle. Therefore, we offer some selected cows for sale:
